Dr Zieve talks with Sunil Pai, MD, director of the Sanjevani Integrative Medicine Health & Lifestyle Center in Albuquerque, about the many faces and functions of inflammation in the body, what it means to our health, and ways to reduce it.
Sunil Pai MD is board-certified in both Family Practice and Holistic Integrative Medicine in New Mexico, the first physician in the state to graduate as a Fellow of the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, directed by Dr. Andrew Weil. He is the first physician in New Mexico certified by Dr. Deepak Chopra as a Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor, and a Creating Health (Ayurveda Lifestyle) Instructor. He is certified from the Institute of Functional Medicine as well as the first physician in New Mexico to be certified in Medical Acupuncture and Scalp Acupuncture through the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr Pai is also certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University and the T. Colin Campbell Foundation. Dr. Pai is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and active in publishing and lecturing in the field of Integrative Medicine, conducting seminars and workshops on various health topics.
